Join the St. Helena Historical Society and Napa County Landmarks for a unique day celebrating history, community, and architecture. This self-guided driving tour showcases captivating barns and farmsteads in the St. Helena area—each with a story to tell.

Preservation is for everyone. To keep this event accessible, we’ve just released a limited number of $25 tickets. We’d love for you to join us for a day of history, stories, and beautiful views.

Ticket Prices:

  • $25 Community Supporter (Limited Quantity! Same great tour, offered as a thank-you for local support.)
  • $40 General Admission (May 11-18)
  • Children 13 and under attend free! 
  • Your ticket supports two local nonprofits dedicated to preserving Napa Valley’s cultural and historic legacy.

Time: 1:00 – 5:00 PM
Location: Check in at the St. Helena Heritage Center, 1255 Oak Avenue, St. Helena, CA. Pickup your map and sticker starting at 12:30 pm (sites open at 1 pm).

Or save time on the date of the event with our VIP Pre-Check! Check in and pick up your map on May 16 from 1-4 pm at the St. Helena Heritage Center or Napa County Landmarks (1416 Brown Street in Downtown Napa) and go straight to one of the sites on the tour on Sunday (sites open at 1 pm).

Details:

  • This is a self-guided driving tour of sites within the area of St. Helena. Attendees will receive a map and sticker at ticket check-in and can visit the barns in any order. The tour map will also be online and mobile friendly at napacountylandmarks.org
Featured locations and activities (all within an easy drive from Downtown St. Helena) include:

    • David Fulton Winery (Fortunate Son Winery) – Free taste (for 21+) of Fortunate Son label wine produced from the adjacent vineyard.Host: Burges Smith, Director of Client Services, Hundred Acre/Fortunate Son/Summer Dreams.
    • Molinari Family Farm – Get the story from Pete Molinari, who will be on-site to share his family history
    • Prager Winery and Port Works
    • Meily Winery Barn on Pope Street – Kim Farmer will be demonstrating her spinning wheel skills from 1-3 pm and enjoy on-site music from 3-4:30 pm.
    • Napa Valley Olive Oil Company (great place to take a break, listen to some music, and picnic with food from NVOOC!) Local musicians Kendall Osbourne (from 1-2:30) and Jim Montgomery (from 3-5 pm) will be on-site, guitars in hand, filling the air with live music that perfectly complements a spring afternoon in wine country.
