About Dr. Wilkinson’s Resort:
Jon “The Doc” Wilkinson was a wellness pioneer long before the term became a trend. Captivated by Calistoga’s geothermal mineral springs and mineral-rich volcanic ash, he and his wife, Edy, founded Dr. Wilkinson’s in 1952 with a simple mission: to help people feel better through the healing power of nature. Together, they transformed the resort into a celebrated wellness destination, welcoming everyone from curious travelers to Hollywood icons seeking the restorative benefits of Calistoga’s legendary waters. The couple lived on property in what is now the beautifully restored Victorian House, while Edy’s artistic legacy lives on through her original mosaics displayed throughout the resort and her former studio, now known as Edy’s Art Cottage.
