Legacy Business Happy Hour, Feb. 24, 5-6:30 pm

Join us for a Legacy Business Happy Hour honoring Jimmy Vasser Toyota on February 24, from 5:00 – 6:30 PM, hosted by the City of Napa Economic Development Division and Napa County Landmarks with a welcome by Lucas Wurz, General Manager! Guests will enjoy wine tastings from V12 Vineyards, light refreshments, a showcase of the new Toyota bZ electric vehicle, and an optional guided tour of the service shop—an inside look at the working heart of Jimmy Vasser Toyota.

Held at the Jimmy Vasser Toyota dealership on Soscol Avenue, the evening celebrates a business that has helped shape Napa’s Auto Row for more than two decades—ridging racing legacy and local investment. Enjoy conversation, cars, connection, and a behind-the-scenes look at a modern dealership rooted in Napa’s commercial history.

Admission is free, with an optional $25 donation supporting future Legacy Business events through Napa County Landmarks. Refreshments will be served.

About Jimmy Vasser Toyota. In 1998, championship race car driver James Vasser Jr. entered Napa’s Auto Row by purchasing the longtime Bozarth Toyota dealership on Soscol Avenue, partnering with automotive executive Darren Smyl. Drawn by Napa’s stable economy and strong local market, Vasser kept the existing workforce in place and took an active, hands-on role in shaping the business, even while still competing on the racing circuit. Renamed Jimmy Vasser Toyota, the dealership built on decades of automotive use at the site, anchoring a new chapter in Soscol Avenue’s commercial history while maintaining continuity with Napa’s established car-dealer corridor. That evolution was solidified in 2007 with the completion of a new, purpose-built dealership at 466 Soscol Avenue—the first new auto dealership on Auto Row in more than 30 years (the 25,000 square foot building was designed by architect George Avanessian).
