Bridges of Napa County

Bridges of Napa County

by Al Edmister

About This Book

Bridges of Napa County is a comprehensive inventory of historic bridges across the region, compiled to document and preserve the county’s rich infrastructure heritage. Compiled by Al Edmister (Stone Bridge Productions, Napa, CA), in September of 2008, this book includes detailed descriptions, construction data, and historical contexts for dozens of bridges—some dating back to the 19th century. Edmister gave permission for public use of this information.

Digitizing this document helps promote awareness of our built environment and supports ongoing preservation efforts. These bridges are more than just functional structures—they tell the story of Napa’s growth, innovation, and connection to the wider world. See the bottom of this page for using, sharing, and attribution guidelines, or download the Introduction PDF for more details.
