Discover the unique histories, defining characteristics and significance of a representative cross-section of Napa County’s historic properties and sites!

Enrich your understanding and appreciation for Napa County’s historical and cultural resources through this program’s enjoyable presentations and discussions regardless of the level of your expertise in historic preservation, history and/or historic architecture.

In addition to exploring and detailing the history, heritage and significance of the featured Napa County properties and sites, you can look forward to the classes providing insights into:

  • The contributions, life & times of the local architects, designers, contractors, owners and/or inhabitants associated with the course’s subjects;
  • The properties architectural styles & defining characteristics, customized design interpretations as well as alterations;
  • The historical significance & merits warranting the rehabilitation resources, restoration and preservation plus an overview of historic preservation principles, and
  • Investigate their changing settings.

These Fall 2019 “Legacies” focal points will be presented in a variety of formats, including:

  • Lecture & discussion;
  • Guest presenter(s);
  • Power-point presentations, including a “Then & Now” slide show,
  • and more.

This “Legacies” course is sponsored by Napa County Landmarks and will be lead by Rebecca Yerger, historic preservation consultant, historian and Napa Valley Register columnist.

Enrollment fees: $40 for NCL members, $50 for Non-members.
